As the weather gets warmer and yet another long winter has come to an end, our attention turns to outdoor living and the spaces we love to inhabit during the warmer days and nights of summer.

Post and beam homes have an inherent connection to outdoor spaces. Those wonderful timbers used to frame the interior of a post and beam structure can be incorporated into the outside areas of the home, as well. Porches, decks, pergolas and yes, even a separate summer building such as a tea house all enhance the outdoor spaces where we live.
