Post and Beam: The European Influence
For the next few days, I’m off to the great city of Quebec for a “wor-cation”; my made up term for combining work and fun. I’ll be staying in my dream hotel, Le Chateau Frontenac, taking in as much as possible; particularly the fantastic architecture of both the hotel and the city.
It's going to be rough, but I'll manage somehow!
I’ll also be in search of examples of the post and beam as interpreted by the European culture…oo-la-la! As those of you who know me can attest, I’m a recent convert and huge fan of the French influence in architecture and design, so I’m very excited at the thought of what I’m going to see over the next few days.
I LOVE old European architecture!!
